Here's some tell tele signs of an infection:
Do you have a fever? How about chills or feeling suddenly hot?
Are you having increased redness, swelling, or streaking at the site of a skin injury or wound?
Are you feeling continuously fatigued?
These are a few big ones but pay attention to your body, it will tell you.
A few years back, my husband got poison ivy on his wrist after doing landscaping in the front of our office. The itching was not going away. He gradually also noticed warmth of the affected area. As soon as we got it checked out the Doctor said infection. He had to to on antibiotics immediately and it calmed down.
Recently a very close friend of mine went through a miscarriage at 19 weeks. The doctors had to deliver the babies because infection had set in. Her symptoms included tachicardia (rapid heart beat), fever, chills, shakes and slightly high temperature. Infection in the body is not safe and can cause damage to your organs among other things.
